Job Corps

Job Corps is a career development program for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 (cannot have reached 25th birthday unless they have a disability and then upper age limit may be waived) in need of job training/career development. Individuals must be willing to work on obtaining a GED/high school diploma (if don't have already), leave home area and live in Job Corps center, and participate in job training classes such as carpentry, welding, health occupations, business clerical, plastering, cement masonry, culinary arts, and auto mechanics (more available). NO COST to attend Job Corps; students receive small living allowance, free room and board, clothing allowance, and basic medical, dental, and eye care.
